Fabrics might be one of the most underrated and fewer thoughts about an element in interior design, but it is actually on the core elements of interior design. People generally think about furniture, lighting and decor while designing their dream space. So let us dive into the world of fabrics and look out for what’s trending in 2019.

1. Linen

Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. It is one of the oldest fibres cultivated and woven into the fabric. By its very nature, it exudes effortless style. It is a very versatile and strong fabric which can also be dyed or printed to put colors to it. It is predominantly used for bed upholstery, cushion covers, curtains, etc.

2. Velvet

Velvet is one of the most desired upholstery fabrics when it comes to portraying grandeur and luxury in your space. Even a few seasons back it was considered out of fashion, but now it is a hot favourite. It is generally for sofa and chair upholstery, headboard quilting and cushion covers.

4. Jute

Known as the ‘’Golden Fibre’’, Jute, in its material form, is more commonly referred to as burlap or hessian.
